Jennifer May Nickel

Classically trained in theatre, Jennifer May Nickel holds an MFA in Costume Design from Carnegie Mellon University.  Jennifer also studied in England at Oxford University (St. Edmund’s College: Myth and Ritual in Theatre) and at East Stroudsburg University (BFA Theatre).

Based in Los Angeles, Jennifer adores travel and has Costume Designed film and television projects that have shot around country.  Outside of California, Jennifer has worked in Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Phoenix, Lafeyette, and Pittsburgh and is familiar with each of those cities’ particular production needs.

For television, Jennifer’s Costume Design credits include Netflix’s upcoming Cabin with Bert Kreischer, Taylor Tomlinson: Quarter-Life Crisis, Fox’s series What Just Happened??!, The CW Network’s hour-long drama Containment, the History Channel’s series Legend of the Superstition Mountains, TLC’s holiday movie The Secret Santa, and Nickelodeon’s The Massively Mixed-Up Middle School Mystery, season two of Moon Scoop Production’s syndicated children’s show Super Sportlets and the The Syfy Network’s movie Miami Magma.

Jennifer has Costume Designed pilots for E! (I’m Not A DJ), Nickelodeon (Junior Eye), and Relativity TV (Tribe of the Wild), and CrisisLab (Sexpectations) as well as various CollegeHumor Originals and SMBC Theater’s hit web series Starpocalypse.

For film, Jennifer’s Costume Design credits include Kampfire Films’ Closure, Mirrorcore Productions’ Wake and The Beating and Noble Savage Productions’ Anywhere, U.S.A.

A proud member of the Costume Designers’ Guild, Jennifer has won the Elizabeth Schrader Kimberly Costume Design Award, The Cecilia Cohen Award for Excellence in Theatre, and The WCDAC Achievement Award.
